Higher screening performance in the middle fraction with the flow-optimized double screen trommel

Zemmler Siebanlagen has dedicated itself to trommel screening machines. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that Zemmler always comes to the market with further developments or new products in the field of double trommel screens. With the double trommel, the reprocessing of 3 fractions is perfectly possible in one working step with a wide variety of materials. The application fields range from topsoil, compost, RC material, natural stone, fresh wood, EBS to woodchips.

Zemmler is now reacting with a modified double trommel to customers in the wood recycling and substitute fuel sectors, who mainly find an increased material content of 50% to 80% in the middle fraction. Rejuvenation of the inner trommel allows an increased throughput and optimal flow of the material in the middle fraction. Tests have shown the conical-shaped double screen trommel delivers a significantly higher screening performance and a perfect screening result in the processing of substitute fuels, woodchips, fresh wood or also shredded substitute fuel material.

As with the standard double trommel, wire screens are tightened around the outer trommel and optionally around the inner trommel. Mesh sizes, shape and wire thickness can be chosen variably. The flow-optimized double screen trommel can be installed from type Zemmler MS4200 on.

Zemmler sees the patented double screen trommel as a cheaper and more effective alternative to other conventional screening methods, which often entail high follow-up costs.

The processing of compost or topsoil can be also realized by this double screen trommel without a loss of quality and performance, thus the usual flexibility of ZEMMLER screening machines is retained.
